Red Tent Doulas Men’s Support Group

MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING HAS BEEN A FOCUS OF MINE FOR YEARS.

Red Tent Doulas Resilient Men’s Support Group is hosting online Sessions Starting July 3rd

The organization has trained more than 500 people worldwide for 20 years. The Resilient Men’s Support Group will be hosting online group sessions for men from all backgrounds to discuss everything from anger management and depression issues to relationship and finances.

The group will be run by award winning African American writer, historian and documentary filmmaker Adisa Banjoko. Adisa is a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu who has guest lectured at Harvard, Stanford and many other institutions of higher learning on topics ranging from rap history to stoic philosophy. As a writer he as interviewed legends like Tupac Shakur, RZA of Wu-Tang Clan and Public Enemy among others. His work has also covered issues surrounding the current fentanyl crisis, incarcerated youth and more. “Men face unique challenges and societal expectations that often impact their mental well-being, but there is often a stigma associated with seeking help or discussing mental health openly” stated Banjoko.

Nicola Goodall (founder) noted “Our goal is to give men a space to be themselves and give them emotional and physical wellbeing through the course of the sessions. We have special guests from professionals who understand romantic relationships, money management, physical fitness and philosophy to help men rise above the stress of the times with practical solutions.”

At the first session I will speaking about how as men we can empower the inner voice of our children. Linking it all the way back to evolution I will be exploring how the man’s voice has a huge impact on children and how they learn to cope with the world.
